Eye exams and medical eye care

Eight published service lines, one doctor, and an optical in the same room. Everything below is what the practice actually offers.

Before your first visit

What to bring

  • A photo ID
  • Your insurance cards
  • Your current glasses or contacts
  • A list of any medications you take

New Patient Intake Packet (PDF)

Fill it in before you arrive and the first visit starts at the exam rather than at the paperwork.

What we do

  • Comprehensive Eye Exams

A full check of how you see and how your eyes are doing, explained as it happens.

  • Contact Lenses, Specialty Contact Lenses

Fittings for everyday contacts, and for prescriptions and corneas that standard lenses do not suit.

  • Senior and Kid’s Eye Exams

The exam is paced for the person in the chair, whether that is a five year old or someone at ninety.

  • Diabetic and Other Medical Eye Exams

Medical eye exams, including the annual diabetic eye exam many physicians ask their patients to have.

  • Emergency Eye Care

Call 616-846-4200 if something is wrong with your eye today and we will tell you what happens next.

  • Postoperative Co-Management

Follow-up care after eye surgery, coordinated with the surgeon who performed it.

  • Boutique Optical and Retail

A full optical on site, so the glasses are chosen and fitted in the same visit as the exam.

  • Complimentary frame styling with every exam

Jennifer, the optician and frame stylist, helps you choose. It is included, and patients name her in their reviews.

What happens when you come in

  • You are greeted at the front desk

Every current review mentions the welcome. It is the first thing this practice is known for.

  • The tests are explained as they happen

Nobody works around you in silence. You are told what is being checked and why.

  • The doctor talks you through what he sees

You leave understanding your own eyes rather than holding a printout.

  • If you need glasses, the styling is included

The optical is in the same building, so the frames are chosen and fitted in the same visit.
